W.P.I.P. has begun constructing a gigantic logistics centre for eobuwie.pl2018-10-25
The construction of the new logistics centre in the Lubuski Industrial and Technology Park in Zielona Góra for eobuwie.pl has started and it is to take place in stages. It is planned that the complex of halls will ultimately have approximately 150 000 square metres.
A storage facility with the height of 12 metres and a three-storey office building with the total area of approximately 40 000 square metres will be constructed in the first place. The author of the construction project and general contractor of the first stage of the investment is W.P.I.P. which designs and constructs production plants, warehouses and office buildings. The construction of the warehouse is to last until the second half of 2019.
– In the middle of September, we signed an agreement for the construction of the first part of the complex and began the field work, so-called macrolevelling of an area of 80 000 square metres. Subsequently, we will construct a hall with 32 loading docks in which the processes of warehousing and distribution of goods will be executed – says Robert Lepczyński, W.P.I.P. project manager.
W.P.I.P. has prepared a concept of construction of a logistics centre with the area of 150 000 square metres as well as development of the area. The works on the second stage of the investment will probably begin already in the next year.
The existing eobuwie.pl distribution warehouse is located in Nowy Kisielin and has an area of 15 000 square metres. As it can be seen, it is planned that the new complex of halls ultimately will be 10 times bigger. As a result, 200 additional employees will be given work, and eobuwie.pl will improve their customer service.
– For us, it is a key investment in strategic development of the company – informs Marcin Grzymkowski, the founder and president of eobuwie.pl. – The new centre will allow us to develop in terms of distribution and technology. We want to introduce in our structure solutions which will redefine the e-commerce market, e.g. autonomous machines.
